SC Duplex Patch Cords for EZ-Panel with a EZ-View Scanning Wire
The Fiber Optic SMART Jumper is an SC duplex patch cord designed for EZ-View applications. It comprises two tight buffer fibers and an additional 26 AWG copper wire housed within a common flat PVC outer jacket.

Each end is terminated with a high performance hybrid connector comprised of an SC duplex fiber optic connector and a spring loaded electrical contact housed within a common plastic shell. Single mode SMART Jumpers come with PC or APC connectors.

When inserted into a port of a GIRARD fiber optic EZ-Panel with EZ-View capability, both optical and electrical connections are made simultaneously. The copper connection allows the GIRARD EZ-View system to scan all the wiring center's fiber optic connections and report the connectivity results to the network administrator on-line and in real-time.

Multi mode models are colored ivory and single mode models are colored blue.

Construction

Jacket
Constructed of non-reclaimed PVC. The material is flame-retardant and meets the UL-94 V0 flammability requirements. Multi mode cables are colored ivory RAL 1015 and single mode cables are colored blue RAL 5015.

The series complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA-455 and IEC-794 standards.
