Link Definitions
To properly test a cabling link the standards bodies define
the "link model" to be used during the test.
These link models define performance specifications including:
Maximum Length (horizontal)
Maximum length (patch or test cords)
Maximum number of connections allowed
The link model corresponds to testing parameters that must
be used in the tester. To obtain accurate test results, each
link model must be clearly defined. Keep in mind that each
standards organization has chosen different parameters.
