25-YEAR APPLICATIONS ASSURANCE WARRANTY

The Girard 25-year Applications Assurance Warranty is designed to provide the end user with the additional assurance as well as the Extended Product Warranty.

The structured cabling system, when installer and registered by an Girard Certified installer (Plus tiers only), is warranted to support the current and approved applications for which it was initially designed. Such applications must be designed by acknowledged user forums (such as the IEEE) which utilize ISO/IEC 11801A or the EIA/TIA 568B (B.1; B.2;B.3) specifications that define component, link, and channel performance for structured cabling systems.

Applications Assurance for the Horizontal System(close to workstations) includes applications that have been designed to operate over the structured cabling system (cable and connection interface hardware). These components shall meet or exceed all performance, and testing requirements of the current and approved ANSI/TIA 568B (B.1; B.2;B.3) Telecommunications Standard and the ISO/IEC 11801A International Telecommunications Standard at the time of installation.

Applications Assurance for the Backbone System (MC to TC) shall be identified at the time of installation. Applications designed to operate over the installed backbone cabling system shall adhere to all distance and performance requirements of the current and approved ANS/EIA/TIA 568B (B.1; B.2;B.3) Telecommunications Standard and the ISO/IEC 11801A International Telecommunications Standard at the time of installation.

Without exception, only Girard products or Girard-approved products are allowed under the Applications Assurance Warranty . Any product used other than the approved products may void the Applications Assurance Warranty.

Girard Certified Installers warrant to the end user that their installation practices and workmanship will adhere to all standards or they (the Girard Certified Installer) will fix or repair any installation faults at their costs.

THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

This warranty does not cover any defects in design or installation of the cabling system that results from failure to comply with the Girard Certification Program or relevant telecommunication standards design guidelines and installation practices. This warranty does not cover defects resulting from occurrences outside the control of Girard.

Girard shall in no event be liable to end user or Girard Certified Installer for collateral or consequential damages of any kind . The field Installer shall provide any necessary labor for replacement of product at a reasonable and usual rate agreed upon by Girard and the Certified Installer prior to the work being done.

Girard shall not otherwise be liable for loss, damage or expense directly or indirectly or indirectly arising from the use of the product or form any other cause. The sole and exclusive remedy against Girard, whether a claim sound in contract, warranty, tort or other legal theory, shall be repair or replacement of the product including the labor (labor-rate to be pre-approved by Girard to replace or repair the product only.
