Cat. 6 ballot passes at recent TIA Meeting
The category 6 addendum to TIA-568-B.2 was approved on June 5. This ends the fear and doubt over category 6. This was caused in part by the inevitable changes from draft to draft over the past 4 years ANSI formally approved the ballot on June 20, 2002. We should look forward to an early July publication date. There is still some confusion over which tests are required for Category 6. The table below should help clarify this.
